today we will visit “gobustan excursion on historical-art reserve “gobustan”, where rock paintings have perfectly remained, barrows and housing objects dated from x-xiii millennial bc to the middle ages. there are certificates of inhabitants of region of an epoch of the stone age and the subsequent periods in “gobustan” – rock drawings, person parking, gravestone monuments, are concentrated there. nearby is “gaval chalan” – original stone- tambourine, representing flat wise established huge plate. it is possible to hear rhythmic accurate motives by knocking on it. it is considered that these sounds accompanied ritual dances and ceremonies. visiting of “gobustan” will transfer you to other world, the world of last mankind and will allow you to feel the atmosphere of thousand – year history of this place. our guide will be waiting on reception in hotel.

it rises to 382 m (1,253 ft) above the sea level overlooking the baku-quba highway. the mountain is a solid rock and is one of the most famous mountains in the caucasus, known for its mythical stories. it is a sacred place for regular visitation by pilgrims. tide marks on the mount attest to melt water inundation from the northern glacial ice caps and date back to the end of the last ice age. the tide lines confirm the theory of a holocene outflow of melt water from the black sea to the mediterranean sea, rather than a direct incursion of sea water into the black sea as a result of global sea level rise. estimates of the increase in caspian sea level height are between + 20 and 30 meters.
in guba many medicinal parts: balbulag, gyzbyanevshya, gechresh, break tengealty, to a depth of 400-600 meters, a grand waterfall near the river afurja height of 75-80 meters and other unique waterfall pirbyanevshya is also in this area. another one of the natural wonders in the area is sostrogannaya out of the rock by water in the form of the figure of the minaret. the district has two artificial lakes. in this area, with its rich flora and fauna, there are good conditions for hunting animals and fishing.
